Mellow Mushroom (Boone):

This is by far the best mellow mushroom in the country.  They have a great beer selection (draft and bottled) and excellent food (Pizza, Hoagies, Calzones, Salads, etc).  In the summer, stop by after a long session and sit out on the deck.

Café Portofino (Boone):

This is the bar/restaurant right across the street from Mellow Mushroom.  Although this is a bar, don’t judge the food!  I strongly recommend trying the spiced sirloin pasta dish when you go.  Great food and its open late (the bar).

Black Cat (Boone):  

Good burritos and beer, who can resist?

Located: Downtown Boone on South Depot St. (In between King St and Rivers St).

 

Los Arcoiris Mexican Restaurant (Boone):

Great Mexican food for even better prices. 
Hours: Everyday (11:00AM-10:00PM)
Located: Right behind Burger King on Boone Heights Dr.

 

Hokkaido Japanese Restaurant (Boone):

Excellent Japanese steakhouse with reasonable prices. 
Hours: Sunday-Thursday (11:00AM-9:00PM), Friday-Saturday (11:00AM-9:30PM)
Located: In the shopping center next to Wal-Mart (right off of Highway 321).

 

Peabody’s (Boone):

Great selection of beer and wine for those in need of a better selection than the grocery store. 
Hours: Monday-Thursday (10 AM - 12 AM), Friday & Saturday (10 AM - 1 AM), Sunday (12 PM - 10 PM).
Located: Off Highway 105 S (Across from Sagebrush Steakhouse)
